# API Reference

Build audiences from the
[Large Behavioral Model](/concepts/large-behavioral-model), deliver them,
import your own data, and read every catalog behind them. There is no SDK to
install: any HTTP client works, and every page has examples in cURL, Python,
JavaScript, and PHP.

## Your first call

Exchange your Intuizi console email and password for a token:

Then send the `data.token` it returns with every request, for example to list
your audiences:

For servers, scripts, and CI, use a long-lived token from the
**My Account > API Tokens** page instead. See
[Authentication](/getting-started/authentication).

## The basics

| Topic | What to know |
| --- | --- |
| **Base URL** | `https://console.intuizi.com/api/v2` |
| **Authentication** | `Authorization: Bearer <token>` on every request except login. See [Authentication](/getting-started/authentication). |
| **Format** | JSON in and out. Send `Accept: application/json` on every request, or it is refused with `406`, and `Content-Type: application/json` with a body. |
| **Limits** | 120 reads and 30 writes a minute per token, and a per-organization budget for builds. See [Limits & Quotas](/concepts/limits). |
| **Safe retries** | The creates accept an optional `Idempotency-Key` header, so retrying one never creates it twice. See [Idempotency](/concepts/idempotency). |
| **Responses** | Every response is `{ status, code, message, data }`. See [Envelope](/concepts/envelope) and [Errors](/concepts/errors). |
| **Background work** | Audiences, estimates, cohorts, and activations build in the background: read them until they finish, or get a [webhook](/concepts/webhooks). See [The Async Model](/concepts/async-model). |
